RTV Silicone Sealant | High-Temperature Insulation

Our RTV (Room Temperature Vulcanizing) Silicone Sealant is a professional-grade solution engineered for sealing, insulating, and protecting electric heaters, electronic components, and electromechanical equipment. This single-component silicone rubber features a distinctive red color and high pre-cure viscosity, ensuring a thick, non-slump consistency for precise application.

Formulated as a deoxime-based silicone sealant, this product cures at room temperature upon contact with atmospheric moisture, creating a durable and flexible seal. It is an eco-friendly, solvent-free, and non-corrosive option for most materials.

With the ability to withstand extreme temperatures ranging from -60°C to +300°C, and boasting exceptional dielectric strength and arc resistance, it is the ideal high-temperature sealant for critical industrial applications. Its performance is comparable to industry-leading adhesives like the Japanese 441 glue, offering superior adhesion to metallic surfaces.

The RTV silicone sealant is indispensable for environments requiring robust sealing and thermal protection:

•       Heating Elements Sealing: The most effective choice for sealing tubular heating elements (immersion and air heating). It prevents moisture ingress in low-to-medium temperature resistances, such as those used in aluminum and copper piping.

•       Electronic Components: Ideal for encapsulating sensitive electronics to protect against moisture, dust, and vibration, thereby extending device lifespan.

•       Electromechanical Equipment: Ensures watertightness and insulation for connections and housings, enhancing operational safety.

•       Kitchen and Bath Appliances: Perfect for high-heat environments like ovens, stoves, and water heaters where airtight sealing is mandatory.

•       Steam Irons: Specifically designed to resist steam and high temperatures, ensuring safe and efficient operation.

•       Semiconductors: Provides a stable environmental barrier for semiconductor materials.

Note: While highly effective for low-to-medium temperature applications, this sealant is not recommended for high-temperature magnesium powder resistances, as it may degrade electrical performance under those specific extreme conditions over time.

Packaging and Storage

•       Net Content: 45g per tube (approx. 56g total unit weight).

•       Packaging: 200 units per box.

•       Shelf Life: 8 months when stored in a cool, ventilated area (~25°C).

•       Color: Red.

1      Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of grease. For heating elements, dehumidify the tube mouth before application.

2      Application: Apply directly from the tube. For deep sealing, remove 2–4mm of magnesium powder to insert an insulator before applying the sealant.

3      Layer Thickness: Keep the application thickness under 5mm to ensure efficient curing.

4      Curing: Curing begins immediately upon exposure to air. Full cure time depends on thickness and humidity.

5      Post-Use Care: Tighten the cap immediately after use. If the nozzle clogs, simply remove the cured plug before the next application.

FAQ

Yes. Once cured, it forms a hydrophobic, elastic barrier that effectively blocks water and humidity. This is vital for preventing short circuits and insulation degradation in heating elements and electronic devices.
