Flexible Silicone Heaters
Our Flexible Silicone Heating Mats represent the cutting edge in surface heating technology. They are a comprehensive solution designed for precise heating and temperature maintenance in barrels, drums, tanks, and other industrial containers. The core of these Heater Tapes is formed by a high-engineering nickel-chromium alloy resistance element, selected for its exceptional durability and its ability to generate heat quickly and uniformly. This element is carefully encapsulated between two layers of fiberglass-reinforced silicone rubber, a material known for its excellent thermal and dielectric resistance. This robust design not only guarantees superior thermal efficiency, minimizing heat losses, but also gives the Flexible Silicone Drum Heater great mechanical strength and flexibility. Each unit integrates a high-precision adjustable temperature controller, which allows the user total control over the process, facilitating the safe and reliable handling of liquids and solidified materials.
Silicone Heating Mats are an indispensable strategic tool for optimizing industrial processes that depend on the correct handling of temperature-sensitive materials. These Silicone Heating Mats for Drums are designed to solve common problems such as solidification or increased viscosity of stored products. They facilitate the extraction and transfer of complex substances like industrial greases, epoxy resins, paints, waxes, adhesives, and heavy oils, reducing their viscosity in a controlled and uniform manner. Thanks to their integrated temperature sensor, which works together with an adjustable thermostat (with ranges of 30-150°C or 30-80°C), the risk of product overheating or degradation is prevented, while energy consumption is optimized. The ergonomic and flexible design of these heater bands allows for perfect adaptation to the container's surface, maximizing heat transfer and easing the workload on pumps and pumping systems, which translates into operational cost savings and greater equipment longevity.
These versatile Silicone Heater Bands are the perfect solution for a wide variety of uses in multiple sectors:

-
Freeze Protection: They act as an effective freeze protection system for critical equipment such as air conditioning compressors, motors, submersible pumps, and instrumentation cabinets, ensuring their year-round operability.
-
Medical and Laboratory Equipment: Their precision makes them ideal for applications in blood analyzers, test tube heaters, diagnostic equipment, and other laboratory applications requiring stable and reliable thermal control.
-
Fast and Uniform Heating: The nickel-chromium alloy ensures homogeneous heat distribution over the entire surface of the heating mat.
-
High Thermal Efficiency: The direct-contact design minimizes heat loss, ensuring energy is efficiently transferred to the drum's contents.
-
Precise Temperature Control: Equipped with an adjustable thermostat (ranges 30-80°C and 30-150°C) and an integrated sensor for exact control.
-
Durability and Resistance: Manufactured with high-toughness, resistant silicone rubber, compliant with the UL 94-V0 flammability standard.
-
Guaranteed Safety: Include a plug with electrical leakage protection and a lifespan of up to five years under normal conditions of use.
-
Ease of Use: Their flexible and lightweight design, along with hooks and tensioning springs, allows for quick and secure installation by a single operator.

Installation:
-
Preparation: The surface of the drum or tank must be clean, dry, and free of residue to ensure optimal contact.
-
Placement: Wrap the silicone heating mat firmly around the container. For drums, place it at the bottom to heat the product from the bottom up, facilitating natural convection.
-
Fastening: Use the metal hooks and springs to secure the band. Ensure the tension is uniform and there are no folds or overlaps of the heating element.
-
Connection: Plug the protected plug into a suitable, grounded power outlet.
-
Adjustment: Turn the thermostat dial to the desired temperature. Start with a low temperature and increase gradually if needed.
Usage and Safety Tips:
-
No Overlapping: Never overlap the heating mat onto itself, as this can create a hot spot and damage both the mat and the container.
-
Initial Supervision: Supervise the first heating cycle to ensure the product temperature stays within safe limits.
-
Use on Plastic Drums: If used on plastic drums, set the thermostat to a low temperature (maximum 40-50°C, depending on the plastic) to avoid deformation.
-
Regular Inspection: Before each use, inspect the power cord, plug, and mat surface for signs of wear or damage. Do not use the product if damaged.
-
Storage: When not in use, store the mat rolled loosely or flat in a dry place to protect it from physical damage.
-
No Immersion: This product is resistant to moisture and splashes but is not designed to be submerged in liquids.
-
Important Note: This product is an electrical heater designed to be attached to a container. It is not an oil drum nor a gas tank.

FAQ
How long does it take to heat an oil drum with one of these mats?
The heating time for an oil drum is one of the most important questions and depends on several key factors. There is no single answer, but we can give you an excellent guideline. The influencing factors are:
Heater Mat Power: A 2000W heating mat will heat a 200-liter drum considerably faster than a 1000W one.
Initial and Final Temperature: Taking an oil from 5°C to 60°C will take longer than from 20°C to 40°C.
Ambient Temperature: In a cold warehouse, the drum loses heat to the environment, so the process may be slower than on a warm day.
Type of Oil: The oil's viscosity and density influence how heat is distributed.
Practical Estimate:
As a reference, for a standard 200-liter oil drum, a 2000W silicone heating mat can reduce viscosity and make the oil easily pumpable in a period of approximately 4 to 8 hours. For simple temperature maintenance, the initial time will be much shorter.
To speed up the process, we recommend using an insulating drum lid together with the heater band, as it drastically reduces heat loss from the top of the container.
