To maximize energy efficiency and temperature control during refrigerated transport or protection of goods, the orientation of the thermal insulation blanket in a container is crucial. Generally, container blankets and marine container insulators are designed with a reflective layer (often silver or metallic) and an insulating layer. The reflective layer should face the outside, that is, looking towards the inside of the container. This allows the blanket to reflect radiant heat attempting to enter or leave the cargo space, maintaining the desired temperature of the products. In the case of our Thermal Pallet Covers, the reflective layer is also positioned facing outwards to optimize industrial thermal insulation and protect the load from extreme temperature fluctuations.
